Fluidra’s looking for a Mechanical Engineer IV to join our team in Carlsbad, CA.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with experience in equipment design from concept through production. This individual must be comfortable leading projects, possess strong communication skills, and have experience with new product development processes. Additionally, you will: 

• Be a key member in the design and development of equipment for the swimming pool industry
• Work with suppliers to meet project goals
• Create test plans and oversee qualification testing
• Submit engineering change orders
• Develop and analyze part designs using SolidWorks CAD software, FEA software, and physical prototypes
• Work on product sustaining initiatives to improve the performance and reliability of existing designs
• Work closely with the project and product management teams

WHAT WE SEEK

• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects with increasing levels of responsibility
• Advanced proficiency in mechanical design using SolidWorks CAD software
• Familiarity with electrical systems and electronic components (AC/DC power, motors, relays, controls, etc.)
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes including injection molding, extrusion, metal fabrication, and assembly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed to visit suppliers or field sites

EDUCATION

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

Expected salary range is $125,000 - $140,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
