
Fluidra’s looking for an In-House Counsel to join our team in Atlanta, GA.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
In-House Counsel works closely with the General Counsel and the North America Legal team to provide management with effective legal advice on Company strategies and their implementation. The successful candidate will effectively handle the day-to-day legal work of the Company as assigned by the General Counsel or Associate General Counsel, while demonstrating the ability to take on increasing responsibility and leadership within the legal function.
In-House Counsel will be involved in complex business transactions and scenarios and will serve as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders. Success in this role will be measured by the timely and accurate resolution of legal matters, effective risk mitigation, and proactive support of business functions. Additionally, you will:
- Perform the day-to-day legal work of the Company, as assigned by the General Counsel or Associate General Counsel
- Serve as a legal advisor to various business support functions such as product compliance, EHS, ESG, facilities, operations, data privacy and compliance, and cyber security
- Develop and modify practices, policies and procedures to conform with business requirements and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage, draft, review, edit and negotiate various types of commercial contracts
- Support all levels of the Company’s corporate and commercial functions and serve as a legal point of contact for business questions
- Collaborate with members of the legal team to effectively manage the Company’s day-to-day corporate and commercial legal matters
- Collaborate with members of the Global Legal team, as directed by the Global Director of Legal and Tax, as appropriate
Due to the nature of this position, the candidate will be required to exercise discretion and sound judgment with respect to confidential and sensitive information. The candidate must conduct all activities in a manner that is at all times fair, ethical, and legal.
WHAT WE SEEK
- 3 + years of experience in a major law firm or in a Company’s in-house legal department.
- Advanced communication skills, with the ability to understand, interpret, and convey business, technical, legal, and financial information to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adapting quickly to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated understanding of business needs, with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal issues.
- Preference will be given to bi-lingual Spanish speaking candidates and candidates with international experience
EDUCATION
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Active license to practive law in the State of Georgia, or active membership in another U.S. State bar.
