JOB SUMMARY


The Fabric Assembler is responsible for supporting daily fabrication operations involving vinyl, thermal, and fabric products, including pool covers. This position performs hands-on production work to ensure quality standards, production goals, and safety expectations are consistently met while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

The Fabric Assembler works collaboratively with team members and supervisors to complete fabrication tasks efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.



DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform fabrication processes related to vinyl, thermal, and fabric products, including pool covers.
  • Pull and align vinyl panels for heat sealing processes.
  • Operate heat sealing equipment to assist in producing finished pool covers.
  • Apply adhesive-backed labels to finished products accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform sewing-related tasks involving webbing, covers, and parts orders assigned.
  • Fold, stage, package, and transport completed covers and fabricated products.
  • Inspect products throughout the fabrication process to help ensure quality standards are met.
  • Properly handle, roll, wrap, and store finished sewn products.
  • Maintain equipment and notify supervisors of any operational or maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety standards and policies.
  • Follow production schedules, work instructions, and departmental procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
  • Support additional production tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
 
QUALIFICATIONS

 

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Previous manufacturing, assembly, sewing, or fabrication experience preferred

· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

· Strong attention to detail and quality

· Good communication and teamwork skills

· Ability to follow instructions and standardized work procedures

· Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment

· Basic understanding of manufacturing safety practices preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to read and write, sit, walk within the facility to access file cabinets, documents, stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 10 pounds. They also occasionally move objects weighing up to 20 lbs., and sometimes, but rarely, up to 50 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role. This position is performed in a manufacturing/production environment. Employees may be exposed to moderate to high noise levels, moving mechanical equipment, and varying temperatures depending on the production area.

The work area requires standing for extended periods, frequent walking, and occasional lifting, bending, and reaching. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas in accordance with safety guidelines and company policy.
