
Fluidra’s looking for a Plant Manager to join our team in Sparks, MD.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of manufacturing operations across multiple facilities. This role oversees all aspects of plant operations, including production, supply chain, quality, safety, and workforce management, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer expectations.
This position leads both an established primary manufacturing site and a secondary or developing facility, ensuring operational consistency, scalability, and efficiency across locations. The Plant Manager is accountable for delivering business results through strong leadership, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will:
Operational Leadership
- Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for all plant operations.
- Ensure efficient, cost-effective use of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Drive operational excellence in manufacturing, assembly, logistics, and maintenance.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
- Lead efforts to improve production capacity, throughput, and overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
Production & Continuous Improvement
- Plan, organize, and direct daily operations to meet production and customer service goals.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement focused on productivity, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Evaluate existing processes and implement improvements to optimize performance.
- Support new product introductions and ensure smooth integration into operations.
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Service to align operations with business needs.
- Collaborate with corporate support functions including HR, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing leadership team.
- Establish clear goals, expectations, and accountability for all team members.
- Drive employee engagement and foster a culture aligned with company values.
- Lead talent development, succession planning, and performance management efforts.
- Address performance issues promptly and effectively.
Financial & Business Management
- Develop and manage operating plans and budgets to meet financial targets.
- Analyze operational and financial performance, identifying variances and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Finance to understand cost drivers and improve profitability.
- Evaluate and justify capital investments using data-driven analysis and ROI metrics.

WHAT WE SEEK
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or plant operations
- Experience in assembly or custom manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards
- Proven leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Ability to communicate effectively in person and via phone
- May lift up to 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Expected salary range is $130,000 - $145,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
